<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The problem of tuberculosis reactivation after pulmonary tuberculosis is urgent, according to a review of the available literature. There are certain difficulties in the differential diagnosis between a true relapse and a re-infection. The incidence of tuberculosis reactivation varies considerably from country to country. There is no evidence in the literature of a modern, integrated approach to preventing pulmonary tuberculosis relapse. The COVID-19 pandemic has also increased the risk of TB reactivation. There is also a need to make changes in the order of hospital observation of TB patients, which will undoubtedly affect the frequency of tuberculosis relapses.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>туберкулёз</kwd><kwd>рецидивы</kwd><kwd>частота</kwd><kwd>причины</kwd><kwd>профилактические меры</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>tuberculosis</kwd><kwd>relapses</kwd><kwd>frequency</kwd><kwd>causes</kwd><kwd>preventive measures</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Абильбаева А.А.
